The Chamber of Commerce is a vital part of Webbers Falls, working within the city as leaders of civic projects and encouraging interest in local business. In promoting the success of businesses in the area, the Chamber of Commerce is also helping to increase the prosperity of the local community. It got it’s start in 1955 as a Ruritan Club (an organization dedicated to improving the communities and building a better America through Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service) and later changed to the Chamber of Commerce. The members of the Chamber of Commerce invest their time and money working to improve the economic and civil well being of the citizens of the community and businesses in the local area. If you would like more information on becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Webbers Falls, please fill out the form below and we will be happy to contact you and answer your questions.
It is the focus of the Chamber of Commerce to promote and nurture the businesses of Webbers Falls in their efforts to succeed and grow. It is our goal to advance the continued prosperity of the local businesses thereby improving quality of life for the Webbers Falls community.
In our efforts to promote new business in our area, we have ribbon cutting ceremonies and try to arrange newspaper publicity for them. We also advertise sponsored businesses in our ads we place for Webbers Falls Day which is the first Saturday in June of every odd year.
Our annual pie auction and political forum is the chambers biggest fundraiser. The pie auction gives all candidates running in the upcoming elections and offering an opportunity to speak and tell us why we should vote for them. All the proceeds help us host things such as our upcoming Easter Egg Hunt and enables us to give scholarships to a graduating senior. We’ve been fortunate enough in the last several years to award two (2) scholarships at $400 each.
We have been able to provide Webbers Falls school with some assistance towards their backpack program which sends snack home with needy students for the weekend.
The Chamber also sponsors the local FFA livestock show. We also sponsor other organizations with cash donations in their efforts to enhance quality of life. One such donation was $100 to a local car club, to help with their support of a local no/low cost medical facility located in Muskogee.
We invite you to join us in serving our community and local businesses. Membership is $10/yr and we meet the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 in the Webbers Falls Community Center. Please contact us below if you are interested in joining us or if you have questions about the area, we are here to serve you.
