For Fishermen,  nearby Webbers Falls Lake/Reservoir offers the opportunity to fish for Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass, White Bass, Catfish, Walleye, Crappie, Sauger, Buffalo and Bream.  Camping is offered in Webbers Falls, Brewers Bend and Spaniard Creek, the latter two are managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers and corps fees apply.

For Trout fishing check out the Lower Illinois River. In 2006,  donations from the Wildlife Federation and the Sport Fish Restoration Program helped with the purchase of a 320 acre river front tract along the lower Illinois River and provides access to trout anglers.  It is located between the town of Gore and Lake Tenkiller, typically spring and summer offer the best trout fishing.
